What to order at Chipotle on a carnivore diet with no dairy? 

1 – If you want a carnivore option at Chipotle without any added dairy, start by ordering a bowl.

2 – Choose a double portion of chicken, steak, carnitas (pork), or barbacoa (beef), or mix-and-match meats.

A single portion of protein at Chipotle is about 4 ounces, so a double portion is 8 ounces of meat. If you’re really hungry, you could order two bowls.

3 – Choose “no rice,” “no beans,” and do not order any toppings.

Chipotle chicken.

A single serving of chicken is 4 ounces:  180 calories, 32g protein, 7g fat, 0g carbs.

A double portion of chicken is 8 ounces: 360 calories, 64g protein, 14g fat, 0g carbs.

Chipotle’s chicken is seasoned with black pepper, chipotle chili, cumin, garlic, oregano, salt, sunflower oil, and distilled vinegar.

Chipotle steak.

A single serving of steak is 4 ounces: 150 calories, 21g protein, 6g fat, 1g carbs.

A double portion of steak is 8 ounces. 300 calories, 42g protein, 12g fat, 2g carbs.

Chipotle steak is seasoned with black pepper, chipotle chili, cumin, garlic, oregano, salt, sunflower oil, and distilled vinegar.

Chipotle carnitas (pork).

A single serving of carnitas is 210 calories, 23g protein, 12g fat, 0g carbs.

A double portion of carnitas is 420 calories, 46g protein, 24g fat, 0g carbs.

Chipotle carnitas are seasoned with bay leaf, black pepper, juniper berries, salt, sunflower oil,  and thyme.

Chipotle barbacoa (beef).

A single serving of barbacoa is 170 calories, 24g protein, 7g fat, 2g carbs.

A double portion of barbacoa is 340 calories, 48g protein, 14g fat, 4g carbs.

Chipotle barbacoa is seasoned with bay leaf, black pepper, chipotle chili, cloves, cumin, garlic, oregano, rice bran oil, and salt.

Chipotle chicken al pastor is a limited-time offering.

As of this writing (April 2023), Chipotle has a new signature protein – chicken al pastor. It is freshly grilled chicken seasoned with a marinade of Chipotle’s signature adobo, seared morita peppers, and ground achiote with a splash of pineapple. It is finished with fresh lime and chopped cilantro.

Be aware that each 4-ounce portion has 4 grams of carbs, so use your discretion.

A single serving of chicken al pastor is 200 calories, 23g protein, 11g fat, 4g carbs.

A double portion of chicken al pastor is 400 calories 46g protein, 22g fat, 8g carbs.

Coffee is delicious, drinking it is a calming ritual in the morning, and it makes us feel better. That’s enough for me to include coffee in my meal plan. But here are other reasons you might consider drinking coffee even if you follow a carnivore diet.

Coffee contains zero carbs.

Coffee is carb-free, which makes it a great beverage choice for those following a carnivore diet. It won’t interfere with the diet’s primary focus on animal products.

Coffee increases mental alertness and cognitive function.

If you’re a coffee drinker you know coffee wakes you up!  Caffeine, a natural stimulant found in coffee, has been shown to enhance cognitive function, improve mood, and increase alertness. This can be especially beneficial if you’re following a diet that may initially cause changes in energy levels, like carnivore or keto.    Source.

Coffee contains antioxidants.

Coffee contains antioxidants, which are compounds that help combat oxidative stress in the body. While the carnivore diet is primarily focused on animal products, adding coffee can contribute to your overall antioxidant intake. Source.

Coffee may reduce the risk of neurological disorders.

While traditional chicken nuggets are a no-go on a keto diet, these 4-ingredient crunchy chicken nuggets are perfectly keto-friendly AND are perfect for a carnivore diet!
