Cream cheese.

You can easily substitute your favorite shredded cheese. I’ve used cheddar and gouda with great results. The chaffles will take on the flavor of stronger cheeses. If you change up the shredded cheese, omit the vanilla extract.

Vanilla extract should be omitted if on a strict carnivore diet, or if you are using a stronger cheese like cheddar, pepper jack, gruyere, or gouda.
